Land of Nod

Award-winning Royal Ballet Soloist, Marcelino Sambé’s new piece set to music by Nathan Halpern and Yann Tiersen leads the audience into a surrealistic dream in the land of the subconscious.

Strangers

George Williamson examines the concept of ‘foreignness’ to Brahms Piano Sonata in E Minor Opus 38 First Movement played live by renowned pianist Anne Lovett and cellist Anna Menzies.

Moonshine

Choreographer, Kristen McNally depicts, with her usual wit, the concept of the ‘pilgrimage’ – a person’s journey or search for moral or spiritual significance, set to the music from the original film score of The Grand Budapest Hotel.

Enticement’s Lure

Valentino Zucchetti’s new ballet, set to Rachmaninoff’s Trio Elegiaque No. 1 in G Minor, explores how ‘temptation’ and ‘desire’ impact on the relationships of two couples.

Vertex

Daniela Cardim’s piece, heavily influenced by music from her native Brazil and set to Camargo Guarnieri’s String Quartet No. 2, examines the dynamic and the intention of movement in response to the music and to the mesmerising drawings of renowned Royal Academy of Arts sculptor, Ann Christopher.
