Livi Boyd
Livi trained at Central School of Ballet in London. She joined New English Ballet Theatre in 2022. Since then Livi has also performed with the Kyiv City Ballet around the UK, Europe and Egypt and was also part of United Ukrainian’s Giselle at the Coliseum.
Livi had the opportunity to perform with The Bolshoi Ballet in Sleeping Beauty and La Bayadère at The Royal Opera House in London. Her repertoire includes: The Nutcracker, Swan Lake Pas de Trois, Sleeping Beauty, Giselle, Alice in Wonderland, Coppelia, Les Sylphides, La Bayadere and Diana and Actaeon.
Ana Carolina Freire
Genevieve Heron
Genevieve trained at the Royal Ballet School and Elmhurst School for Dance.
Since then, she has danced with numerous ballet companies including Royal Swedish Ballet, Northern Ballet, Birmingham Royal Ballet and English National Ballet.
Genevieve was a member of the original London company of An American in Paris at the West End’s Dominion Theatre, continuing with the show on the Asia tour and at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris, alongside its Broadway cast. Other musical theatre credits include Nick Winston’s adaptation of Carousel in which she played the role of Louise Bigelow.
Genevieve has been dancing with NEBT since 2020, which included the lockdown film projects with Alice Pennefather, the filming of the Genesis ballets and most recently Jenna Lee’s Four Seasons, Wayne Eagling’s Remembrance and Daniela Cardim’s Nocturne pas de deux and Baroque Encounters. At the beginning of the 2024/25 season, Genevieve became a company member of Ballet Arizona.
Tamara Hinson
Tamara trained at the Arts Educational School, Tring Park and Elmhurst School for Dance.
She has danced professional with Birmingham Royal Ballet, English National Ballet, The Israel Ballet and Les Grands Ballets Canadiens.
Her repertoire includes Swan Lake, Nutcracker, Don Quixote, Sleeping Beauty, Giselle, Balanchine’s Symphony in C and Serenade and Cranko’s Onegin.
She has most recently joined Birmingham Royal Ballet for their UK Swan Lake tour and worked on a new piece by choreographer Marika Brussel in the ENB studios.
Tamara was part of NEBT’s 2022 and 2023 companies.
Ella Mansford
Ella trained at the Royal Ballet School.
As a student, she performed with The Royal Ballet and Birmingham Royal Ballet.
After graduating, she danced with Mikhailovsky Ballet Theatre, Drew McOnie Creative Project, The United Ukrainian Ballet and Cape Town City Ballet.
Her repertoire includes roles in Don Quixote, Giselle, La Bayadère, Coppelia, The Nutcracker and Swan Lake.
This is her first season with NEBT.
Tara Millard
Tara trained at the Royal Ballet School, where she graduated in 2021. She was also coached by Rachael Hunt and Mary Goodhew.
Upon graduation Tara joined The Norwegian National Ballet junior company for two years and then danced with the main company for one year. Throughout her three years in Olso she danced the role of Sugar Plum Fairy with the junior company, danced in La Bayadere, Giselle, The Nutcracker, pieces by Nunes Art, Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, ‘Diamonds’ from Jewels and A Sort Of by Mats Ek.
Emily Pohl
Emily is incredibly excited to be working and performing with NEBT for the Spring/Summer 2024 Season.
Her pre-professional training started as Central School of Ballet, where she gained a First Class Degree, in association with the University of Kent. Upon graduation sheI joined
English National Ballet’s Professional Trainee Programme and has been fortunate enough to be selected to perform with the English National Ballet and Birmingham Royal Ballet in the Corps de Ballet for their productions of The Nutcracker and Cinderella. She has recently been offered contracts with English Youth Ballet, Brecon Festival Ballet, International Festival Ballet and Mergaliyev Classical Ballet, and has been fortunate enough to debut the Pas de Trois, Cygnets and Princesses in Swan Lake on tour in February.
Emily also had the privilege of collaborating with Freed of London, engaging in photography and modelling, and was further honoured to be chosen as a dancer by the iconic jewellery brand, Bvlgari, to elegantly showcase their Serpenti collection.
Alongside her professional career, Emily is part of an exciting new venture with the innovative Pointe Shoe company, ‘Act’ble’, working to build customer relations in Germany & the UK. This company works with top-tier athletes & are developing the technology to revolutionise the traditional pointe shoe & challenge the art form! She is also the 4th generation to work for her family dance school, based in Essex. BhwDance has just celebrated their centenary year & Emily takes immense pride in endorsing the institution where her professional journey initially commenced.
José Alves
Born in Brazil, José started ballet at the age of 13 and graduated from the Bolshoi Theatre School in Brazil in 2008.
He danced with the Ballet Company of the Young (Palace of Arts) in Belo, Brazil, and with Teatr Muzyczny w Łódz in Poland, before joining Ballet Black for the 2012/13 season, where he was promoted to Senior Artist in 2014.
José has danced in original choreography by Javier de Frutos, Will Tuckett, Ludovic Ondiviela and created the roles of Demetrius and Bottom in A Dream Within a Midsummer Night’s Dream by Arthur Pita, and The Son in Mark Bruce’s Second Coming.
After a year at Polski Teatr Tańca (Polish Dance Theatre), José returned to Ballet Black in 2016, where he danced roles in Martin Lawrance’s Captured and Annabelle Lopez-Ochoa’s Red Riding Hood and Arthur Pita’s A Dream Within A Midsummer Night’s Dream. He was also one of the lead dancers in the Company’s first live stream on World Ballet Day 2017.
In 2018, he won the 2018 Critics’ Circle National Dance Award for Outstanding Male Classical Dancer for creating the role of Philemon in Cathy Marston’s The Suit. Between 2019 and 2021, José danced in new ballets by Sophie Laplane, Mthuthuzeil November, Peter Leung, Will Tuckett and Martin Lawrance. His biography, A História De Um Bailarino Incomum by Taís Fernanda Reis was published in 2021.
In 2022 José was a guest artist in Ivan Putrov’s Men In Motion gala, performing the stage version of EIGHTFOLD: Love by Peter Leung and Le Train Bleu by Bronislava Nijinska.
This is his first season with NEBT.
Jerome Anthony Barnes
Jerome trained with the Royal Ballet School from 2009 – 2017 where he was supported on a full-time scholarship. In 2013 he came 3rd in the Young British Dancer of the Year competition.
In July 2017 Jerome graduated with an artist contract into Scottish Ballet, where he worked his way up through the ranks to leading Principal, dancing iconic roles such as Crown Prince Rudolph in Mayerling and the Prince in The Nutcracker, both in Peter Darrell’s version and in David Nixon’s Northern Ballet production when he took a guesting position with them in 2023 .
Jerome has worked closely with many different choreographers and ballet professionals during his time at Scottish Ballet and The Royal Ballet, dancing big ballets and contemporary works.
He received the One Dance UK Rising Star Award in 2021 and was nominated in the ‘Emerging Artist’ category at the 21st National Dance Awards.
This is his first season with NEBT.
Noah Benzie-Drayton
Noah trained at the Paris Opera Ballet School and the European School of Ballet.
He has previously danced with the Paris Opera Ballet and the English National Ballet, and was a membe of NEBT’s 2023 company.
Dan Corthorn
Dan trained at The Royal Ballet School and Laine Theatre Arts.
Whilst in training was awarded the Phyllis Bedells Bursary (2013) and Solo Seal (2016) from The Royal Academy Of Dance.
Before Joining NEBT, he danced in Cats The Musical at Dubai Opera House, with Michael Clark Company for their Australian and European tour of to a simple, rock ‘n’ roll . . . song, which was also filmed for BBC4, and performed in ABBA VOYAGE as a dancer.
Daniel was lucky enough in 2019 to choreograph and perform at London Fashion Week for Malan Breton’s Fashion Show.
He also has his own DanceWear brand ‘DANSWEAR’ to offer more of a variety of DanceWear to male dancers.
Daniel has been with NEBT for their 2019, 2021, 2022 and 2023 seasons and was part of the creation process for Genesis.
Theo Greenfield
Theo trained at the Royal Ballet Upper School, where he performed classical solo variations from Napoli and The Nutcracker school performances as well as works by Sir Peter Wright, Frederick Ashton and other choreographers.
He also performed in the Royal Ballet’s Cinderella as well as soloist roles in Birmingham Royal Ballet’s The Nutcracker.
Last season Theo was dancing with Joffrey Ballet Studio Company where he performed lead roles in their Studio Company shows.
Jethro Paine
Jethro started his dance training in south-eastern Europe where he lived for ten years, before attending the Royal Ballet School in London (2013-19).
He later moved to the United States to work as a professional dancer with Boston Ballet II.
Since kickstarting his career as a freelance dancer following the COVID-19 pandemic, Jethro has worked with English National Ballet on their production of Raymonda and The Nutcracker, followed by various short-term contracts with Ballet Cymru in Wales. He has also spent time touring with Zikr Dance Ensemble across Colorado and New Mexico in the United States.
Having recently completed an MSc in social anthropology at University College London with a Distinction, Jethro is looking forward to being back in London and working with NEBT!
Ben Randall
Graduating from Elmhurst Ballet School in 2021, Ben has performed as a ‘Wind’ in Birmingham Royal Ballet’s The Nutcracker, the Paralympic homecoming ceremony for Deaf Men Dancing/DMD + with choreographer Mark Smith.
Alongside this, Ben has worked within Outdoor Arts, being a recipient of Arts Council England DYCP, completing several UK tours with the Deaf/hard of hearing dance group ‘Def Motion’.
This is his first season with NEBT.
Aitor Viscarolasaga Lopez
Aitor trained at CPD Carmen Amaya (Madrid) and Central School of Ballet. They have danced with Ballet Central, English National Ballet, at the Royal Opera House and with Finnish National Ballet.
Aitor’s repertoire includes Wayne Eagling’s Nutcracker, Matthew Bourne’s Sleeping Beauty, Kenneth McMillan’s Valley of Shadows, Christopher Gable’s Cinderella, Wayne McGregor’s Far, Jenna Lee’s Black Swan, Christopher Wheeldon’s Cinderella in-the-round, Tamara Rojo’s Raymonda and Val Caniparoli’s Jekyll and Hyde.
They have also danced in the operas Death in Venice by David McVicar, Jenufa by Claus Guth and Nabucco by Daniele Abbado.
Aitor was a member of NEBT’s 2018, 2019 and 2022 seasons. In 2023 they joined NEBT as Rehearsal Director Assistant for Genesis Dance Project and New Works.
